Dear EAPRIL community,

The EAPRIL Board and EAPRIL Office are happy to share our first news update with you. We hope you had an excellent start of the new year and will enjoy a happy and inspiring 2019, both professionally and personally. Recently, the EAPRIL Executive Board met in Leuven for a two-days-board meeting in which we reflected on a dynamic and inspiring conference in Slovenia and continued to work on our exciting plans for the upcoming years.

Martijn Willemse, EAPRIL Chair

One of our aims is to strengthen the development of the EAPRIL community in-between the conferences. Many promising activities are already planned the coming months (see below for more information). In addition we started to share funding alerts from our partner organisation EAEC to those who are interested and wish to follow-up on all international funding opportunities.

Also the preparations for the EAPRIL2019 Conference in Tartu, Estonia are already in full swing. An enthusiastic local organising committee is setting out all strings to ensure EAPRIL2019 will be once again an inspiring conference. We are for example exploring to work with a new format that makes it possible to set up a session during the conference to connect with interesting and potentential partners for a future project. Submissions for this format will be seperately organised from the regular submission procedure. For the regular submissions, keep an eye on your mailbox because soon the first call for contributions will be sent around!

We hope to meet you again in Estonia because your contribution to the EAPRIL community is of important value. Therefore we would like to warmly encourage you to share your work, (new) ideas, publications with us in our EAPRIL community and invite your colleagues to join our vibrant EAPRIL community. Please make use of the variety of dissemination opportunities we wish to offer to our members, e.g. newsletter contribution, blog, Linkedin fora,…
